Street Poets Inc., while operating under our former name DreamYard/LA, was the 2003 recipient of the John Anson Ford Human Relations Award from the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations "for being an exemplary program for youth from different backgrounds that instills inter-group understanding and awareness through artistic expression by exploring their own values, assets and obstacles in order to become agents of change in their communities."
