Our audio and video productions serve to amplify the voices of our youth and young adult poets and to celebrate the transformational power of the creative process.
STREET POETS: Voices from the Inside Out, directed by Khari Streeter and Jonathon Hexner, premiered theatrically as a vanguard documentary short at the 2004 New York Latino Film Festival. The DVD focuses on the transformational journeys of five members of DreamYard/L.A.'s Street Poets United. It melds inspirational interview footage with music video-style treatment of selected original poems to create a powerful, inspiring 25-minute viewing experience.
